South Bruce Grey Health Centre’s Board of Directors has approved the severance and donation of land to the Durham and Community Healthcare Foundation to facilitate the expansion of the Durham Medical Clinic. The existing clinic is located adjacent to SBGHC's Durham site.

A federal government Economic Action Plan investment of $925,000 for the clinic expansion was announced by Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Larry Miller in May. This investment will be matched on a 50%-50% basis with the Durham and Community Health Care Foundation for a total investment of $1.85 million.

“SBGHC recognizes the importance of improving access to primary care for the residents of our communities,” says Paul Davies, President and CEO of SBGHC. “We are happy to be able to assist the Durham Foundation in working toward this goal.”

Details on the severance of the land and the footprint of the clinic expansion are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
