Board Chair Welcome

On behalf of the Board of South Bruce Grey Health Centre, welcome to our website.

For generations our communities have been well served by dedicated volunteers and staff committed to providing the best health care possible in their communities. We seek to continuously improve the delivery of health care, as the needs of the population whom it is our privilege to serve, change.

South Bruce Grey Health Centre consists of four sites: Chesley, Durham, Kincardine and Walkerton; providing core services at each site, and secondary services at specific sites enabling patients to receive health care close to home.

As stewards of the care provided at each site, the Board is committed to recruiting appropriate health care professionals and providing them with current levels of technology. The Board and staff search Ontario, Canada and the World for best practices that we can bring to the communities we serve. As a Board, we are pleased to provide our health care professionals access to on-going education to ensure they remain current in an ever-changing environment.

Our volunteer board has the diverse background, skills and experience required to operate and strategically position our multi-million dollar, multi-sited health care organization. It is through this wealth of experience, and the foresight of those who served before us, that our board provides the leadership, governance and strategic focus to meet the complex challenges of health care in the twenty first century.

We value the support received through Hospital foundations, auxiliaries, volunteers and the broader communities we serve, and recognize the critical role each plays in enabling us to provide leading health care in our rural and small urban settings.
