Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

*This monitor will be worn continuously for 24 hours. This test is NOT covered by OHIP.

How do I access this service?

A physician referral is required.  To make an appointment, please call one of the numbers listed above.

Patient Instructions

• SBGHC has a no scent policy. No perfumes please.
• Please wear loose, comfortable clothing so that the blood pressure cuff can be worn easily under your clothes. Do not apply any body lotion or oil to your chest area the day of your test.

Test Results

Test results will be provided to the physician who referred you for the test.  You will be contacted by your physician's office with your results.  

Where do I register for my appointment?

Please present at Central Registration upon arrival at the hospital. You will then be directed to the location of your appointment.

Durham Registration: inside main entrance (College St.)
Kincardine Registration: inside emergency entrance
Walkerton Registration: inside emergency entrance
