On February 27, 2013, the Kincardine Auxiliary was able to see first hand the two latest items that the Auxiliary purchased for the Kincardine hospital:

1.  A Centrigue (used in the lab for separating blood) which makes the process both safer and faster (10 minutes instead of 15-20 minutes). Shown in the picture (from left to right):  Wilma Manay, Auxiliary Treasurer; Mary McGlynn,  Medical Laboratory Assistant, SBGHC and Ginny Ross, Auxiliary President.

2.  A new electric patient bed (Canadian made) which now brings to six the total number of such beds at Kincardine.  They are much safer for both patients and staff.  Shown in the picture (from left to right):  Wilma Manay, Auxiliary Treasurer; Ginny Ross, Auxiliary President and Kate Kincaid, Chief Nursing Officer, SBGHC.
