PPE Donations

SBGHC is asking the public for donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE supplies within the organization are currently adequate, however, if you can support our healthcare workers in preparation for increased cases of COVID-19, we are asking for the following new, unused supplies:

  • Masks – surgical and N95
  • Disposable isolation gowns
  • Gloves – Examination or surgeons gloves (Vinyl/Nitrile)
  • Safety goggles
  • Face shields (lightweight plastic)
  • Tyvek Suits

Please call ahead to arrange a time for drop-off at one of our sites:
519-370-2403 or 519-370-2429

Fabric Masks

SBGHC has received generous offers from our communities to provide handmade fabric masks for our health care workers. For infection prevention and control reasons, and in keeping with Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines, we are unable to use fabric masks in a hospital setting, however they may be a good option for use in the community (i.e. when grocery shopping, visiting public places).  If you have fabric masks to donate, we recommend sharing these with friends, family, neighbours and local community groups for use in these settings, and/or reaching out to local businesses who remain open to see if people working in non-healthcare essential services could use them.

SBGHC thanks our communities for your ongoing support.
