Appointments are required for all Community Lab Collections. Patients with multiple requisitions require two consecutive time slots to be booked.

 

Please have your health card ready when booking your appointment.

 

**For non-urgent blood work: if you have a cough, cold or fever please do not attend your appointment and reschedule when symptoms have resolved. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, please rebook after 10 days.

How do I access this service?

A physician referral is required.

*Note: standing orders are not kept on file.  Please bring a copy of your requisition and your health card.

Where do I register for my laboratory work?

If you have a Ministry of Health requisition (shown below), you do not need to register to have your samples collected.  Please proceed directly to the Community Lab Collections room (an appointment is still required).

If you have a South Bruce Grey Health Centre requisition (shown below), please visit Patient Registration to register when you arrive at the hospital.

Test Preparation

Please follow any preparations as advised by your physician (i.e. fasting). Test preparations are also indicated on the hospital laboratory request form or can be obtained by visiting the Dynacare website at Dynacare – Find a Test. If you have any additional questions, please contact the laboratory; voicemail is continuously monitored.
