The main entrance of the Kincardine hospital will be reopened on Tuesday, June 1st at 12:00 PM.
The hospital’s main entrance was temporarily relocated in January 2021 to permit the reconstruction of this area to accommodate the new addition which is coming for the CT scanner suite. The project was undertaken to modify the entrance canopy with structural walls and columns in preparation for the CT scanner addition. This project on the main entrance was anticipated to take 4 months, and has been completed on time and on budget.
The CT scanner addition will be constructed against the east wall of the south wing of the existing hospital building, immediately adjacent to the new hospital entry. Construction on the CT scanner addition is expected to begin in the fall of 2021. The new main entrance will remain open to patients and visitors for the duration of the construction on the CT scanner addition.
“We want to thank the community their patience and cooperation in the last number of months having to go the extra distance to the temporary entrance. We also want to thank our volunteers who have gone above and beyond to provide assistance to our patients during this time,” says Michael Barrett, SBGHC President & CEO. “We are now another step closer to bringing a CT scanner to Kincardine.”Leave a reply
