New Vice President of Clinical Services / Chief Nursing Executive Appointed

South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Stanley to the position of Vice President of Clinical Services / Chief Nursing Executive (CNE). Stanley will assume this role for the organization’s four hospital sites in Chesley, Durham, Kincardine and Walkerton on January 14, 2020.

Angela is a Registered Nurse (RN) with over 25 years of healthcare experience in public health, long-term care, and acute care organizations, most recently as the Vice President/CNE at both St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener-Waterloo and the Listowel/Wingham Hospital Alliance. She started her career working in long-term care and hospital in the Palmerston area.

In addition to her BScN, Angela holds a Masters in Nursing Leadership from Athabasca University, and is a former Board Director for North Wellington Health Care.

“Angela’s leadership experience in both a large community hospital, and in a multi-site, rural organization similar to SBGHC will be an asset to our hospital,” says Michael Barrett, President and CEO. “We are excited to have her join our team.”

SBGHC’s previous Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Maureen Rydall, retired from the role in November 2019. Since that time, Lynn Bos, Patient Care Manager at SBGHC’s Kincardine site, has been acting as the interim CNO.

“I want to extend my thanks to Lynn Bos who has acted as our interim CNO for the last couple of months,” says Barrett. “Her efforts to take on this responsibility on top of managing a busy hospital site are sincerely appreciated and she has done an excellent job.”
