Welcome Dr. Kyle Scheuerman!
We are excited to welcome Dr. Kyle Scheuerman back to our physician team in Walkerton on a permanent basis. Throughout his medical training, Dr. Scheuerman completed learner and resident rotations at our Walkerton site, was appointed the family medicine Chief Resident of Clinic and Policy at the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa in 2022-2023 and brings our community a wealth of clinical knowledge. We feel so fortunate that he chose to return home, to establish his medical practice and build his life in our community with his wife, Dr. Ellen Lorenzen.
“I was born and raised in Chepstow, Ontario. I completed my Honors Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Psychology at Western University. I earned my medical degree from Saba University in the Dutch Caribbean, completing clinical rotations throughout the USA. I then completed my family medicine residency training at the University of Alabama. While in Alabama I met my amazing wife, Dr Ellen Lorenzen, and together we have two playful puppies Birdie and Arlo.
I’ll be based out of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Walkerton site. I’m excited to be providing care to the community I grew up in. I will be practicing emergency medicine, obstetrics, and pre-natal care, and I will have my own family medicine clinic at the Walkerton hospital. In my free time, like spending time outdoors, hiking and exploring.” – Dr. Kyle Scheuerman.
