Changes to Spiritual Care Program

South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) believes in and remains committed to the importance and value of providing spiritual care for patients and families.

There are different models of care that exist to support the delivery of spiritual services and as an organization we have decided to move forward with promoting an independent patient choice. This process will be implemented through independent patient requests, in which we will ask patients and families upon admission about their religious affiliation/spiritual advisor, and reach out as requested by the patient and or family. This is the practice that many health care organizations participate in and has been demonstrated to work effectively.

If you have questions regarding accessing spiritual care while in hospital, please speak with your care provider.
