SBGHC Community Engagement Update

Last week, South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) hosted two in-person community engagement sessions to hear directly from our community as we plan to support high-quality care for the future.

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to meet with over 350 community members to collect their feedback and input.

In these sessions, we reiterated our commitment to keeping all four SBGHC sites open to deliver high-quality care to keep our communities healthy. That being said, we continue to face staffing shortages and want to hear from our community as we reassess and evaluate how we are using our limited resources to care for our communities.

This was just the first step in our new community engagement process. We will be collecting additional community feedback through our survey that is available online until September 10th. Paper copies of the survey are also available at the West Grey, Arran-Elderslie, Brockton and Huron-Kinloss municipal offices. In addition, we are accepting suggestions and questions via email at communications@sbghc.on.ca. We are committed to open dialogue and will continue to meet with our staff, physicians, partners and community over the coming weeks and months.

We will provide a report summarizing what we heard through the survey, our engagement sessions, meetings with community members and emails we have received. We will also address questions that were raised during the engagements sessions as well as those we were unable to get to and submitted in writing. This feedback will be valuable to us and considered as we plan for the future of our organization.

As a reminder, the survey can be accessed online until September 10th at the following link:
